ECU Licenses

To make changes to an ECU's firmware, you will need to add a license to it. One license is required per ECU that you want to tune.

Unused licenses are stored on your tuning device. The first time you write a tune to an unlicensed ECU, the license will be transferred over. Once the license is on your ECU, anyone using projectLAMBDA can tune your ECU with a compatible tuning device.

Licenses can be purchased from the projectLAMBDA Store.

License Codes

To buy a license, you will need to provide the current license code from your tuning device. To retreive this code, power on the tuning device, then use the Tuning → Device Info command to bring up the Device Configuration window where you can copy the code.

After purchasing a license, you will receive a license update code. Paste the code in the Device Configuration window, then click Update License to apply it. You will see the License - Total number increase when the update code is successfully applied.
